Yanfeng Releases 2022 ESG Report, Demonstrating Commitment to Sustainability

Yanfeng, one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers, today published its 2022 sustainability report which outlines the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) activities and its support for the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact. In addition, the report focuses on Yanfeng’s sustainable product portfolio and renewable energy initiatives, as well as its low-CO2 operation.

Decarbonization is a priority for us and one of the most important pillars of our ESG strategy. Our sustainability goals are based on the Science-based Targets Initiative. The company has set a goal of covering 100% of total energy consumption by renewable energy sources by 2030 and aims to reduce its CO2 footprint in the long-term, with a goal of achieving net zero emissions in scopes 1 and 2 by 2030 and in scope 3 by 2050. To achieve these goals, Yanfeng has implemented software for tracking carbon emissions and has been an active member of the of the VDA (Automotive Industry Association) Responsible Chain Initiative since 2022.

The report outlines the company’s efforts to achieve its goal of covering 100% of total energy consumption by renewable energy sources by 2030, in addition to its ambition to reduce its CO2 footprint in the long-term. Yanfeng is aiming to achieve net zero emissions in scopes 1 and 2 by 2030 and in scope 3 by 2050, and has implemented software for tracking carbon emissions and is an active member of the VDA (Automotive Industry Association) Responsible Chain Initiative.
