Vauxhall Manufacturer Issues Warning: Brexit Could Impact Electric Vehicle Availability in UK

BM Magazine

One of the world’s biggest automakers, Vauxhall, has urged the government to renegotiate parts of the Brexit deal to avoid jeopardizing the UK’s electric car industry. In a statement, the company warned that without changes to the terms of the withdrawal agreement, the UK could lose its electric car manufacturing capabilities.

The company said that the current Brexit deal does not take into account the complexity of regulations governing electric car production. The statement noted that the deal put in place by the government did not go far enough in protecting the UK’s electric car sector and put it at a competitive disadvantage. The company has called for a renegotiation of the terms of the agreement to ensure that the UK can remain a major player in the electric car industry.

This warning comes as the UK prepares to leave the European Union at the end of the year. With the looming deadline, Vauxhall has called on the government to take action to ensure that the UK can remain a major player in the electric car market.
