Developed to provide viewers with a best-in-class streaming experience, the platform reduces latency, improves video quality, and ensures uninterrupted streaming.
This expansion has been driven by the current season of Italian Serie A TIM football, with more DAZN Edge PoPs (points of presence) and additional monitoring capabilities being deployed. Leveraging MainStreaming’s proprietary Video Edge technology, the platform has been optimized for broadcast-grade streaming at scale, and includes edge computing applications and machine learning to improve the personalization of the viewer experience.
As part of the expansion, MainStreaming designs, deploys, operates, and supports the DAZN Edge platform, and works with multiple ISPs throughout Europe to ensure optimal Quality of Experience (QoE) for DAZN’s viewers. Furthermore, more capacity has been added by deploying Edge servers inside ISP networks to deliver the best possible service to regional audiences.
