What do you currently do at your company?
I am the founder and CEO of a local marketing firm based out of Passaic, New Jersey. We primarily work with small to mid-sized businesses and we provide them with the tools and resources they need to execute their marketing efforts. Our goal is to pinpoint the best strategies to drive their business forward.
What was the inspiration behind your business?
I attended the University of Boston and I had a pretty clear idea of my professional strengths. I always had an interest in the technology space and excelled in my marketing class. I ultimately chose a career path where I could utilize both of my interests. Of course starting out is never easy. As a first time business owner there were a lot of roadblocks to overcome, but we look forward to what 2023 has to offer.
Tell us one long-term goal in your career.
Because we are still in many ways a start-up company, my primary goal right now is to continue on our current projection. We have successfully cultivated a loyal client base and we are looking to incorporate more digital marketing strategies for 2023.
How do you measure success?
There are many different ways to measure success. However, for myself, customer satisfaction is always my number one priority. Our goal is to help clients showcase their brand by strategizing effective marketing solutions. Our customer’s success is also our success and I enjoy brainstorming and working alongside a wide range of clients.
What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned through the course of your career?
One of the most valuable lessons I have learned is to be productive outside of work. I find that when I am motivated outside of work and make time for activities I enjoy, I am better prepared to take on each day. I am a very active person so I always make time for a daily walk. I find that it really helps me refocus and clear my mind for the day.
How would your colleagues describe you?
I think that my colleagues would describe me as a go-getter. I am not one to procrastinate and I believe in always putting your best foot forward. As a business owner, I have plenty of bad days, but I do my absolute best to use every experience as a learning opportunity. It’s so important to surround yourself with a strong team and I always take the advice of my colleagues before making any decisions.
How do you maintain a solid work life balance?
Maintaining a solid work life balance is crucial to long-term success. Many individuals, especially those that are just starting out in their careers, work long hours and commit every second of free time to their goals. While the dedication is inspiring, overworking can lead to stress and burnout. Take the time to spend weekends with friends and family, or set aside a couple hours each day for down time. Taking care of one’s mental and physical health should always be a top priority.
What does success look like to you?
Success comes in many different forms. And I think that it really depends on where one is in their career. For me, it is still early days, so success to me is still making enough profit to stay afloat and fostering professional relationships. Hopefully in time, We will be able to expand our definition but for now we just have to keep growing.
