Bluefly

Bluefly (BFLY) is a high end online retailer specializing in brands like Vera Wang, Nicole Miller, Mark Jacobs and more.  Bluefly announced revenue growth today of 31% but also noted they were still operating at a loss of about $200,000 for Q1 2007.

This is a highly speculative stock so if you are interested in investing, take note that it can be volitile and that you do take more risk with such a volitile stock.  It should also be noted that one of the largest investors is none other than George Soros who’s shares total 2.03% of his portfolio.

Because the company didn’t give guidance, figuring the numbers is hard.  The latest data shows a loss in just about every column.  So why invest?  As I said before, if you have a portion of your portfolio set aside for speculative stocks, this one so close to a dollar can easily double or triple.  Caveat Emptor.
