The purpose of the Proficient Investor is to share my insight and success in trading on the American Stock Exchanges. I have been investing in the stock market since 1998 and have been quite successful. Through my trading and investment activities I was able to pay for much of my college education.
What I like to do is print news regarding not only the stocks I hold in my portfolio but also stocks I think you can turn around and profit on within 6 months. I am not a pump and dumper and although I sometimes buy stocks on the OTC, I never recommend a major position in any speculative venture.

My investment strategy includes the following:
- Trades are dependent on a catalyst
- Stocks are held for a minimum of a month, and up to 18 months
- I never put on a full position at once, I buy in stages on the way down
- investments are chosen based on revenue and future earnings estimates

With sound investment strategies and a disciplined approach, you can beat the market year over year.
